Mission

“Working to support those who are affected by    
Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease, by providing information and funding research

Aims and Objectives

To offer assistance and support to those people who have Charcot-Marie- Tooth Disease, also known as Hereditary Motor and Sensory Neuropathy or Peroneal Muscular Atrophy.

To promote research into the means by which CMT may be prevented and treated and to circulate the results of such research for the benefit of the public.

In addition, CMT United Kingdom aims:

  • To collect and circulate information on all matters regarding CMT.
  • To initiate, co-ordinate, promote and support the carrying out of research.
  • To stimulate medical education on the subject of CMT.
  • To offer assistance and support to those who care for people who have CMT.
  • To spread awareness of the condition to the general public.
