University of Liverpool

The University of Liverpool’s Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy is a specialist programme aimed at Chartered Physiotherapists who wish to translate their knowledge and skills developed on humans into practice on animals. The programme is recognised by the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT) as an upgrading route for ‘Category A’ membership.

The 6 module Postgraduate Diploma is studied on a part time basis over 2 years (3 modules per year), with a further (3rd) year required to complete a Research Project in order to be awarded the MSc.

The modules are based on a blended learning approach, including distance education in an online forum, practical residential schools and clinical placements. This approach encourages communication and interaction between professional peers as well as teaching staff while maintaining flexibility, so that the programme is ideally suited to practising professionals on a part time basis.
